We are excited to announce that What The Pitta has been awarded a Tripadvisor 2020 Traveller’s Choice Award, meaning that we are in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide.
Each year, Tripadvisor combs through reviews, ratings and saves from Travellers everywhere, and uses that information to award the very best restaurants. The award is based on a full year of reviews and winners are known for consistently receiving great traveler/diner feedback, placing them in the top 10% of hospitality businesses around the globe!
“Earlier this year, we were awarded Best Takeaway at the British Kebab Awards, which was judged by a host of influential people from food and business, and now we have been recognised by the public too. We know we are onto something special and What The Pitta is a true family franchise that aims to bring a healthier and more ethical spin to a beloved British favourite.” – Cem, What The Pitta Co-Owner
“Winners of the 2020 Travelers’ Choice Awards should be proud of this distinguished recognition,” said Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer at Tripadvisor.
“Although it’s been a challenging year for travel and hospitality, we want to celebrate our partners’ achievements. Award winners are beloved for their exceptional service and quality. Not only are these winners well deserving, they are also a great source of inspiration for travelers/diners as the world begins to venture out again.”
We now have restaurants in both London (Shoreditch, Camden, Croydon and Battersea) and Brighton, and have become a cult staple for plant based foodies and vegans in the UK. Since we set up the very first What The Pitta in 2016, we have put our heart and soul into creating an amazing food experience for everyone.
If you are visiting London or Brighton for the day, we would love to welcome you to one of our restaurants. Not just for vegans, our kebabs also attract meat eaters and those who are trying to reduce their meat intake. But why would a meat eater choose to eat one of our kebabs?
Our handmade döners are packed full of meaty soya pieces that are spiced to perfection, alongside fresh salad, pickled red cabbage, hummus, tzatziki and tangy jalapeno peppers. If kebabs aren’t your thing, we also offer dishes such as homemade falafels with tahini dressing and chili sauce.
And if you’re not feeling quite ready to eat inside a restaurant yet, our food is perfect to take away and enjoy al fresco. Brighton visitors can relocate to the beach with their boxes full to the brim with döner and chips. What’s better than enjoying our award-winning vegan food and the sea breeze?
We are also taking part in the Eat Out To Help Out scheme throughout August. We are offering 50% off up to £10 off in all our stores from Monday to Wednesday. If What The Pitta has been on your bucket list for a while, and you want to try some award-winning vegan food, now is the time to have your fill.
